Digital chances within the Swiss justice system

According to different sources the percentage of people suffering from a severe psychiatric crisis within custodial institutions is over 33% in Switzerland. This number is increasing every year.

This problem is turning custodial institutions into some kind of storage facility for people with inappropriate behavior our psychiatric disorders. The current situation leads to frequently escalating and dangerous situations for the patient and the staff which can last for a considerable time. The current means of custodians serve the purpose of control and safety. The custodians do not have the means to support de-escalation and re-socialization.

On the 25th & 26th of November 2020 the SKJV organizes: Digitaler Wandel in Justiz Vollzug. A digital fair about the digitalization of processes within the system of justice. The purpose of this meeting is to support prison professionals, decision-makers and staff in finding the most suitable solutions to tomorrow’s challenges. Recornect’s innovative solutions can be deployed in custodial institutions for communication purposes, de-escalation and diversion.

If you would like to know more about the potential for your organization please visit our online booth and / or register for the workshop of Erik Kuijpers and Miro Barp. The workshop will take place on November 26th at 12:15 pm.
